Delivery Policy

GinkgoFloralDesign.com is committed to providing an excellent product delivery service. Our goal is to provide high-quality products together with a prompt and professional delivery service. Please read this document carefully and be advised how the ordered product will be delivered to the recipient.

Same-day delivery of floral orders is available for the following areas in the Greater Toronto Area Monday to Sunday if the order is received by us before 12 pm (EST) on the requested day of delivery:

  • Downtown Toronto
  • Scarborough
  • Etobicoke
  • North and East York

Same-day holiday deliveries for our store direct delivery areas are available if the order is received by 12 pm on the requested day. For Valentine’s Day, February 14th, and Mother’s Day, we require that your order be received 24 hours in advance; the delivery of same-day orders is not possible for these two days.

Deliveries to PO Boxes and APOs are not possible.

Delivery will be executed if you provide the name of the recipient, the correct address of the recipient (street name, city, postal code, and apartment number), and the correct telephone number.

Deliveries to businesses in our delivery areas will be completed by 4 pm the same day of the order.

Deliveries to high schools are not possible.

Deliveries to patients in hospitals will be left at the nurse’s desk/station or if possible with the recipient. Please, be sure to supply us with the name of patient, name of hospital, ward, and room number.

Delivery to a recipient who is not at home at the time of delivery will be attempted a second time if the product cannot be left with a neighbor, left near the entrance, or at the back of the house. Notification will always be left on the recipient’s door. If the delivery is for a business and the recipient is not present, the arrangement will be left with an associate or a home delivery will be arranged.

Surprise deliveries are not possible without contacting the recipient.

If an order is placed with Ginkgo Floral Design and the customer must cancel it, the cancellation must be made 24 hours prior to delivery. Change of address or product changes can be made 8 hours prior to delivery.

Depending on the season and the availability of the product, substitutions might be necessary in order to fill your order. In such cases, the character and the color of the product will not be compromised. The variety of substituted flowers and containers will depend on availability.

With every delivery you can send a card message. We will write the appropriate card and attach it to the arrangement.

We do not accept alcohol or cigarette deliveries.

When you order, make sure all your credit card information is correct. If any payment is returned, or not properly funded, we reserve the right not to deliver the ordered product or to retrieve the product from the recipient within 24 hours of delivery.

We will confirm your order by e-mail within 24 hours of receiving it.

Refund Policy

Ginkgo Floral Design is committed to satisfying our customers with the best available service. The following return/refund policy is provided so that our customers can have a complete understanding of how we replace orders or make refunds.

If a customer claims an order was not delivered, we request at least 24 hours to contact the partner florist to determine what has happened. The delivery is often attempted but either the recipient was not at home and/or no neighbors were available to accept the order. If this happens, we reserve the right to try to redeliver. If a partner florist created the arrangement and tried to deliver it, then that florist should have the opportunity to complete the delivery.

If we determine that we did not make the delivery attempt, we will provide you with a full refund. If our partner florist in Canada, the US or internationally did not make the delivery attempt, we will provide you with a full refund.

If an order is delivered to the recipient and there are any questions about the quality of the arrangement, the recipient should contact us or our partner florist whoever completed the delivery. We and our partner florists will replace the arrangement. In order to request a replacement by us or our partner florists, you must contact us within 24 hours of the delivery. Please, keep in mind that flowers, plants, fruit and gourmet items, etc. are perishable. Proper care is necessary. No refunds or replacements can be made for any order if the recipient or sender does not notify the partner florist or Ginkgo Floral Design within 24 hours of the original delivery date.

If an order is filled and an inappropriate or unauthorized substitution has occurred that compromises the color and character of the arrangement, we reserve the right to replace the arrangement. If a third attempt fails to satisfy the recipient, we will issue a refund of the arrangement. This does not include the delivery fees and administrative costs. Ginkgo Floral Design will refund the purchase price of the product (this does not include delivery fees and administrative costs) if the partner florist fails to resolve any problems that happened during the preparation and/or delivery of the product.

We reserve the right to reject any order that we deem questionable or possibly fraudulent. If we determine that fraudulent information has been provided, we will send an e-mail to the customer and inform him/her that we believe the provided information is not correct.

If a customer places an order with us and then needs to cancel the order, the cancellation must be made 24 hours prior to the delivery of the order. If the cancellation is received after the order is delivered, we will not refund the purchase. A cancellation won’t be accepted if a customer places an order and provides incorrect information that hinders direct delivery, e.g., an incorrect work or home address. The customer can provide new information so the order can be properly delivered a second time.

Ginkgo Floral Design is not responsible for an order if the recipient refuses to accept the ordered item(s). We do not issue refunds to any customer if the recipient, for whatever reason, will not accept the product or refuses to accept the delivery. We cannot be held responsible if an order is delayed because the partner florist is not able to make the delivery. If the order is being sent to an area with limited delivery coverage, we will make every attempt to find a partner florist outside of the area to fill the order. This may cause the order to be delayed and the original delivery date cannot be kept.

Ginkgo Floral Design is not liable for customer errors resulting in the over-ordering of an item. Ginkgo Floral Design is also not liable for perishable products shipped by a third party vendor to an incorrect address provided by the customer. During the checkout process, the customer is provided with a total of the order BEFORE the order is submitted. At which time, the customer is able to remove products or reduce the ordered quantity. We will make every effort to review orders with multiple quantities of the same product, but we cannot guarantee, nor are we liable for any order sent out exactly as the customer ordered. If a customer orders more than one of any single item, but intended to send a lesser quantity then the ordered amount delivered to the recipient, no refund can be made because we delivered what was ordered.

If any payment is returned to Ginkgo Floral Design marked with NSF, reversed, unpaid, uncleared or for any other reason (the payment is not properly funded), Ginkgo Floral Design reserves the right to contact the recipient and arrange a return of the delivered products or payment if the sender fails to properly pay for the provided services and goods within 24 hours.

If a customer places an order and neglects and/or refuses to provide us with the sender’s information, or the needed information for the recipient, a delay in the delivery of the product can occur. For example, failing to provide the recipient’s last name or telephone number may cause the florist problems in completing the delivery. If no telephone number is provided, the florist cannot contact the recipient in the event that an delivery should be attempted when the recipient is not there. In some cases, an order may be left with a neighbor, apartment office, concierge, etc. and the door of the recipient will be tagged accordingly. If no telephone number has been provided, the order may be kept by the person who accepted it until the recipient receives the door tag and then picks up the order from that person.

As part of our online marketing efforts we collect information about the ways in which www.ginkgofloraldesign.com is used. This information is not associated with any individual user. The collected information is used for internal review only, for the purpose of improving the content and usability of our web page.

All online payments are performed through our secure payment gateway. We do not record credit card information on our servers.

You understand and agree that the owners of this site shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data or other intangible losses (even if the owners of this site have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from the use or the inability to use the product(s) and or service(s) or any misuse of the product(s) and or service(s) in a manner not in accordance with their intended use.
